RAISE THE ROOF UPDATE |
Hello everyone. I want to thank everyone who helped contribute to the
Poor House Raise the Roof Benefit. We are waiting for the final revisions
from the City of San Jose. We should soon have a permit in hand to start the construction
of the roof over the patio and a new Men's bathroom outside. The cost have exceeded
the initial estimate due to city permits, archetictual, and engineering drawings.
The PHB is having silent auctions items available for bidding throughout the construction
to help supplement the additional cost. They are located inside the Bistro near
the counter. We are also still offering the personalized license plates for $100
that will be placed on the outside patio fence. Email jaymeduri@poorhousebistro.com
for details. Thanks again for all of your continued support! |

RAISE
THE ROOF! |
The Poor House Bistro has just celebrated
our 4th Anniversary. We are now trying to create a patio with a permanent roof
over the patio. The PHB patio was covered with a Tent for the past 3 years. Unfortunately
it had to be removed due to Fire Code regulations. Right now we have many umbrella's
covering the tables. However, in the fall and winter time this will not be enough
to keep the live music going at the Bistro. The "Raise the Roof" Benefit
will help us generate funds to give the band and guests shelter from the storms.
Please come down and join us for a weekend of free music, silent auctions items,
raffle, and alot of fun! Check out the music lineup under the events calendar. |

We at PHB have been trying to supply the community with the best New Orleans Food
and Music in the Bay Area. Although times area tough, we will continue this tradition
in 2009. We regret to discontinue our Tuesday music series that featured John
Nemeth and Mighty Mike Schermer. I want to thank all of the people have have supported
us during the weekdays. We will feature music for Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) on
Tuesday February 24th. The Montego's "Tribute to the Meter's featuring Bob
Welsh, Mike Phillips, Hans Bosse, & Special Guests will keep the house Rocking
from 5pm-9pm. Hope you all will celebrate. Please tell a friend about PHB.
Without you, we would be just a memory. Thank you kindly.... |
