The Poor House Bistro is San Jose's New Orleans Joint. A "Joint" in the south is a place where people would come to enjoy food, drink, and music. The Poor House brings the sights, sounds and tastes of New Orleans to the San Jose Downtown area. Live music Friday and Saturday nights from 6-10 pm.
The menu offers the greatest hits of New Orleans Dining.

Dishes include Blackened Chicken Wings, Gumbo, Cajun Popcorn Salad, Crawfish Pasta, BBQ Shrimp, Red Beans & Rice, Corn Muffins, Jambalaya and Muffaletta Sandwiches.

Hot Po Boy's include: Catfish, Oyster, Shrimp, Pork, Beef, and Chicken.

Desserts include: Bread Pudding, Beignets, and Sweet Potato Fries.

The menu also offers a variety of food including: Charbroiled Angus Beef, Turkey, and Boca (Vegetarian) Burgers with Fresh cut French Fries.

Also from the grill: Chicken and a variety of Sausage sandwiches.

Kids menu includes Corndogs, Chicken Tenders, and Grilled Cheese with Fries.

Salads are prepared fresh daily.
